Chlorine Free Metal working

June 2009 heralds changes requiring new labelling of oil products containing medium chain length chlorinated hydrocarbons. New legislation requires that oil products containing these additives carry R64 (Harmful to Environment) warning labels.

Chlorine has been used in metal working fluid for many years to improve surface finish in extreme metal working applications. Replacing this chemical without loss in performance with alternative chemistry has been a challenge, but following extensive laboratory and field testing we are proud to offer a new approach to high performance metal working applications.

ATRIA ASP will replace the existing ASC grades, and will not carry any statutory R64 warning label. Disposal of these products avoids the potential formation of dioxin gases during combustion associated with chlorine.

We remain committed to providing Environmentally responsible products where ever possible.
